The Universal Axiomatic of the Heart

Eons and eons of revolutions far spun
Rock streaks and dissolves as it reaches the sun
So may it be with a stone-encased heart
The Constellation Eros’s fiery dart

What once was a mass of primordial mire
The Aeon of Earth used its blood to sire
Pouring freely forth from its own laceration
So that hearts will know of love’s first creation

Fleeting to and fro about silvery streaks
Ice-laden stone sings silently speaks
In answer the galaxies spin in a vort
As an ice-laden comet returns to the Oort

An earthly time is a blink of an eye
Whence hearts beat forever and never will die
Created from life of an immortal forgotten
Beslombered with lies and always downtrodden

Taken for granted and sometimes abused
Always restored and still it ensues
Swirling emotion where once it was lost
Giving its life where it formerly cost

Young lovers, find solace in the silvery veils
No telling what pleasures the Cosmos entails
Sailing with Cygnus's neck as our mast
The Swan guiding our future, shielding us from the past.

Andromeda watches from light-years away
knowing darkened horizons never hold sway
while the light disappears, the love never will
Planetary motion, not passion, ever still

Dance with me down to the Perseus Arm
This frozen time tangle could do you no harm
To the galactic center our waltz follows strong
The Milky Way songs say we've not chosen wrong

This is my final version, I think. I've had it for so long, and only now have I decided to update. Thanks to my boyfriend for awakening my muse, and thanks to my knowledge of the night sky for helping me think of the new stanzas. The last 3 are the add-ons.

Hope you like!
